IGA Marketplace Ascot – Store Manager

IGA Marketplace Ascot is well known for its great service, friendly staff, range and product quality and is looking for a dynamic Store Manager. The opportunity is to work for an established supermarket with a developing future.

We are very proud of what we have been able to deliver to our local community and are on the look out for an experienced Store Manager who can help us take things to the next level.

We are after a passionate, food loving, people friendly, energetic, hands on and experienced person to manage the day to day operations of the store and the business. Ideally you will have been working in the retail industry for a number of years, have experience managing a team of people and have a thorough understanding of the logistics involved in delivering great customer shopping experiences.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Engaging with our customers to ensure that we are exceeding their expectations on a daily basis.
  • Working with your team to deliver merchandise standards of the highest level.
  • Liaising with our suppliers to guarantee that we are delivering a diverse and fresh range of products for our customers.
  • Organising, training, motivating and leading a team of specialists.
  • Responsible for the businesses profitability, direction and sales results
  • Working with the store department management team to ensure our complete supermarket offering is of the highest standards.
  • Assisting and advising all department managers of store expectations to deliver all products and provide excellent customer service.
  • Working with the support office management team to ensure our organisational strategies are being executed.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and complying with all relevant legislation
  • Develop and manage teams to maintain and develop enthusiasm and job satisfaction
  • Handle all escalated issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Implement and manage cost control measures including wages.
  • Monitor the weekly financial reports and KPI’s, analyse the departmentalised financial accounts and key performance indicators
  • It is a given that you have extremely high standards, are decisive, work well with others and do what it takes to meet deadlines.

  • 5 Years grocery, produce and/or store management experience.
  • Full time with a minimum of 45 hours required
